The New Moon on April 7th is a potent Super New Moon providing a wondrous birthing cycle as it follows the Total Solar  and Lunar Eclipse cycle of March.  Take in a few deep breaths and relax into the awareness that the eclipse cycle has brought into our consciousness.  The Aries New Moon highlights the areas of life most ready for a change and transformation.  Aries encourages an honest appraisal of self. It points directly to you; your reactions, your sense of individuality and the courage to be true to yourself, no matter what.

Born on a new moon, I tend to favor the dark side of the moon with its mysterious unseen forces.   It brings a stillness and anticipation of something new and undiscovered within arms reach.  We can feel it, taste it and  we know it is there.  It just requires a rededication allowing ourselves to manifest.   The New Moon offers a nurturing environment where our intentions can establish roots before they miraculously manifest and begin to sprout and reach out to the stars.

Labradorite (1)

For those who really want to work with these energies, the gemstone of a dark moon is Labradorite.   For the Full Moon it is Moonstone.  Wearing these or carrying them, three days before and after can greatly enhance one finding their balance.   The movement of the moon  does affect the living waters within us creating emotional charges.  The stone beings  support one in being able to channel their creativity and inner wisdom.  Make sure you cleanse your jewellery or stones before wearing them to eliminate any lower vibrational frequencies.  I don’t see these as negative energies just unsettled energy that can throw us off balance if we are not aware of the subtle energy influences we are constantly exposed to.

FortunaG.

This month’s Full Moon on April 21st/22nd  in Scorpio and is dedicated to the Goddess Fortuna.  Fortuna presides over all the attributes of luck, fate, destiny, kismet and chance. In ancient Roman times, she blessed gardens with abundance and brought fertility to couples.  Rulers often kept golden statutes of her nearby to ensure well-being of their reigns.    With Saturn now retrograding issues regarding our relationship with our work, our service and our ability to manifest based on our core belief around money and prosperity will surface.  We will feel the nudge to make change and will need to look deep into our beleif system to determine what creates fear holding us back from being the full expression of who we were born to be.

For  members of our online Sacred Sabbat and Moon Cycle Ritual Subscription Series, the New Moon and Full Moon rituals for April have been posted.  A guided meditation on aligning with the Goddess Fortuna will be posted next week.  If you are not currently a member but  would like to subscribe to have access each month to the New Moon, and Full Moon Rituals as well as sacred Sabbat rituals, guided meditations and spiritual teachings please click here.   Developing a relationship with the unseen world by honoring the old ways can ensure more balance and inner peace.  Rituals and ceremony support us through these times of old patterns and systems breaking down to allow wondorus new expressions of life.  Taking the time to honor the moon cycles brings us clarity and insight allowing us to step into Self Mastery. We discover on a deeper level the dream that is dreaming through us.

Planets

By the end of April, there will be five planets in retrograde Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Mercury as  we are heading into a time of contemplation, inner soul searching which will support us well in the future. It gives us a chance for a course correction and to fine tune our intentions.  Consider where you want to end up and how to construct the journey to get there.

On April 17, Mars, the planet of action, enters a retrograde phase. Mars goes retrograde every two years and two months.   The last time Mars went retrograde was in the spring of 2014.  I will share more about the significance of this later in the month and how to best work with these energies.

Pluto goes retrograde for a five-month cycle on April 18th.  Remember, retrograde motion is always directed toward inner activity such as our belief system or psychological pattern that affects the physical body.  When Pluto is transiting retrograde, we are urged to let go of attitudes, thinking or communication patterns, issues around our security,  rigid emotions; this is a time for inner house cleaning.  Pluto retrograde imparts an intense power for investigation of oore beliefs and fears.   We have an excellent opportunity  to assess what reoccurring patterns in our lives make us feel out of control, where and why  we continually give our power away, and under what circumstances  we react so defensively that we elicit attacks from others. Pluto retrograde marks a time wherein we should seek to gain greater control over our personal life.

This is a month of planetary movement but a time for us to simply allow the celestial bodies to guide our journey.  If we ease into this month we can move through things with grace and ease trusting it is another part of the journey moving us into Self Mastery.   The more opportunities we allow ourselves to enter the unseen world, the more stillness and sense of inner peace we will find.  In the silence we can hear our heart reminding us this is a grand celebration.   One to be tasted and experienced.

Wishing you a magickal month of wonder and enchantment.
