A magickal journey to the world of enchantment began as our group of spiritual seekers from the lands of Australia, Austria, Switzerland and the United States gathered in Ireland to enter that special place, just beyond the boundaries of the human world and weave a web of love. The first part of the journey was to the healing well of Saint Bridgit. Known as the Goddess of Healers, Poets, Artists, Writers and Smiths. As the Goddess of Inspiration, she blesses poetry, creativity, prophecy and the arts. As the Goddess of Smith craft, she blesses blacksmiths, goldsmiths, and other crafters of the household. As Goddess of Healing, she blesses physical and spiritual healing, and gifts those who seek her assistance with great healing powers. Many legends are told about Bridgit.

Her sanctuary remains much the same as olden days, preserved with a beautiful energy for the spiritual pilgrim who approaches with an open heart. Great healing can take place when one connects to the sacred lands in the garden surrounding the healing waters.

Here we would honor the guardians of this magickal realm in prayer and sacred ceremony.  We would each accept the torch passed on by the Goddess as we made our commitment to carry the light she offered in our hearts no matter the challenges we may face. Our wonderful flute players Marlis and Ueli would sing to the healing waters our prayers of gratitude.

Bridget’s Shrine at Kildare ?was kept by her Priestesses. ?Her sanctuary known as ?Call Dara- ?The Church of The Oak was where Nineteen (19) Priestesses kept her Sacred Flame, going year round. If the shrine was ever attacked, a Priestess hid a burning coal from the fire, so that the flame could not go out.

As soon as the danger was gone, they could rekindle the fire to it’s former glory. Thus the fire was never allowed to die out for hundreds & hundreds of years, no matter the circumstances.

Our second day we journeyed to Tara, a place of great power. The Hill of Tara is the ancient seat of the High Kings of Ireland. The ancient Celts chose Tara as a very special site.  142 Kings are said to have reigned in the name of Tara. The coronation stone called The Lia Fail or Stone of Destiny has rested here down the ages.

It was here that the most powerful of Irish Kings held their great inaugural feasts and were approved by the Earth Mother Goddess Maeve.  Tara was revered as a dwelling of the gods and an entrance place to the otherworld of eternal joy and plenty where no mortal ever grew old. It is the landscape that holds the mystery, as there are no monuments at this site only the Stone of Destiny. The weather turned this day and it became bitterly cold and a mystical rain would surround us. I knew this would keep many away as this is considered one of the power sites in Ireland and visited by hundreds each day. The weather would allow us to have this site to ourselves for ceremony as we each stood before the Stone of Destiny to reclaim our birthright and to embrace our true destiny. A test of courage as we all stood together with the incredible winds of change blowing around our circle.

Join us tomorrow as we  travel to the mystical lake of the dragon, Loch Gur and the largest stone circle in Ireland for ceremony as our journey continues to weave the web of light and awaken the dragon spirit.
