Assisi Italy

Having spent most of October in the Umbrian countryside living in Assisi, Italy, I felt an even deeper connection to the earth and the elements of the natural world.   The spirit of Saint Francis seemed to join me as I walked in stillness in the Woodlands and as I paused in the infinity grove of olive trees.

Infinity trees

This magnificent living art expression of trees planted in the sacred symbol of the infinity sign is composed of three circles. The first circle represents the first world, or as the artist identifies it, the first paradise, where human and nature lived in harmony.   The second circle represents the second artificial paradise, driven forward by human intelligence which has triggered decay, and over consumption of our natural resources, affecting the entire planet.  This loss of awareness if unchecked creates a collision between the natural and artificial worlds. It can be avoided with a marriage of the artificial paradise and a reconnection to nature, symbolized in the third circle that exists between the two.   Here is the hope and vision of a Third Paradise which can be recreated with enough human awareness to make change.

I seemed to hunger for quiet time here, walking alone through the woodlands so precious to Saint Francis, known as the first environmentalist. I could feel the forest breathing me in and out, filling my lungs with life.  It is here I bring others to find their connection to the dream that lives within them as this magnificent grove of trees sits directly on the dragon lines that open one to a remembrance.   Here, I come to seek solace and guidance as a place where I feel completely nurtured by the earth mother.    To have it completely alone is always a gift.

The November full moon is in Taurus which is a strong earth sign, invokes a feeling of fellowship with the natural world.   I will be sharing several rituals and a guided meditation to support one in working deeper with the energy this beautiful moon can provide for those who are members of our online moon cycle and sacred sabbat ritual series.   All cycles in nature bestow us with their own unique gifts.  Learning how to embrace the magickal phases of the moon helps elevate our human existence into a sacred experience.

Beltane fire dance

October 31st/November 1st. Beltane in the Southern Hemisphere

This is the third of three ceremonies performed to invite the Sun’s return. The first began with Imbolc followed by the Spring Equinox also known as Ostara and now Beltane to ensure the power of the sun would be at its fullest at the time of the Summer Solstice when there was the greatest amount of light on the earth. In the ancient times the druids would walk their animals and families between two bon fires symbolizing purification and cleansing.  They would call in the guardian spirits for protection for the rest of the year believing the sacred smoke created a magick layer of protection. Beltane is when the cares and fears of winter are purified giving way to youth, exuberance, innocence, playfulness and sexuality.   Inevitably life is about change.  By celebrating the seasons as they change on the cosmic wheel, we celebrate the next chapter of our personal journey.  The path of the Goddess is a path for the soul that can help you find your heart song and the joy we all seek.  The ancient ones did not just celebrate a holiday at the time of Beltane; it was a cosmic opening for a specific energy.  It is a time known as the “no time” when the veil between worlds is lifted and one of the spirit nights when fairies can be seen.  The first flowers of summer are gathered, and love is in the air.   A ritual of power and fertility to be performed on this has been posted.  Click Here

Full moon mountain

November 12/13,  2019 – Full Moon in Taurus.

One of the reasons we feel so emotional during a full moon is because it’s a time of making the unknown known, the unconscious conscious, and the hidden becomes seen. The brightness of the full moon illuminates everything in our life if we take the time to be still and bring our awareness into the moment. This includes relationships and patterns that are not in alignment with our truth and highest good.  We are being asked to really complete old cycles in our life as we prepare for 2020, The Year of the Puma.  (I will be posting more about this in a future Weave the Web).  After 2019, a year of reinventing ourselves we have peeled away layer after layer, on an  ongoing journey of discovery.   If we don’t take the time to complete these old patterns, we may feel confused, overly sensitive, lost and overwhelmed.  This Full Moon is not going to change your life overnight, but it is going to help you activate new pathways of opportunity and potential. The message of the Full Moon in Taurus is to Re-energize your life.  Stop giving your energy away to others needlessly. Instead focus on your own life and purpose.  For the ancient Celts, November was the start of the new year, which is why magick for this moon was to celebrate new beginnings and starting over.  They identified this as the Mourning Moon and focused the power of this night on getting rid of mental, spiritual and emotional baggage.  Letting go of things that drain your energy so you can focus on the possibilities that the future brings.  This is a time of washing away the baggage of the past and letting it go. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to focus on the joys of the future. During the Mourning Moon phase, say goodbye to bad habits and toxic relationships,  get a fresh start for the new year. Work on developing and strengthening your connection with Spirit.

For those who are members of our online moon cycle and Sacred Sabbat ritual series I have added several powerful rituals to shed light into the darkness as we open to receive the full potential of this very earthy Full Moon.  Click Here

New Moon Rising

November 26/27th – New Moon in Sagittarius

The New Moon is a time that promotes all forms of growth. It is a potent time for writing wishes and goals that stimulate new beginnings in our lives. By aligning ourselves with the natural rhythms and energy of the Moon, we are able to unlock a strong Universal force as we strengthen our creative and intuitive energies. Each New Moon gifts us with a clean slate as it brings the start of a new lunar cycle, as well as the beginning of a new personal cycle.  We have the chance to make important changes in our lives, as we are learning to dig deeper into the mysteries around us instead of always being content with the status quo. Change is inevitable, but in November, change will be for the better. The New Moon in Sagittarius energizes our quest for knowledge and truth as Sagittarius represents the spiritual seeker.  The New Moon will assist us in trusting that we are creating our future as we are exploring the new.  This is the last new moon of the current eclipse cycle which began with the July 2nd total solar eclipse.  It is the last chance to act on the intentions you set back at the time of the eclipse and complete what you have been working towards in the last 6 months. With patience, open-mindedness, and commitment, you can still make your dreams come true.  This is also the last new moon of 2019, as the wheel will turn with the solstice on December 21st and 2020 will energetically begin.  Make this new moon count and remember the effects of the November 26 new moon last four weeks up to the December 26th new moon solar eclipse.    The best time for making a fresh start and beginning new projects is during the first two weeks of this new moon cycle. I have posted several rituals to support your journey working with the energies this final New Moon offers.  Please click here

Neptune planet

November 27th Neptune goes Direct

Since the solstice on June 21st, Neptune has been in retrograde and will begin moving forward.  Neptune in retrograde reveals what is truly important for us in life and the last several months have challenged us to get our priorities in order.  To find our personal truth and to look deep within to break illusions that we have held as a false truth.  A time of digging deep to understand the triggers and patterns that create a repetitive experience that creates discomfort or holds us back from being our true magnificence. This planet is famous for revealing harsh truths, especially those that have been kept hidden for long periods of time.   Since Neptune goes direct at the time of the November New Moon, we can use this night to gain even more insight as to the next step on our journey.  The rituals for this month’s new moon celebration will assist with revealing those steps as we move towards completing the year and prepare for the wheel to turn on the solstice in December.

Wishing you a beautiful November of gratitude and renewal.

Love and rainbows, Robbyne
