black water rabbit

Wisdom from our star child that I wanted to share with our tribe regarding the January New Moon.  Tomorrow’s new moon will be at 1 degree Aquarius, which will be the closest the Moon has been to the Earth in 1000 years! The next time we will have the new Moon this close to Earth will be in 2368! Setting intentions for humanity’s future will be supercharged at this time since this new moon will be activating the first degree of Aquarius, which is the point at which the Age of Aquarius was born on December 21, 2020, with the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction.  Many of you were with me in the sacred stones of Sedona. Together we celebrated and prayed for a kinder, gentler world.

This once-in-a-millennium new moon is also deeply connected to the full moon in Leo that takes place on February 5th and creates a tremendous opportunity for our tribe and global community to join, setting intentions for the changes we need to make personally as well as globally.

2023 is the Year of the Black, Feminine, Water Rabbit, and is “predicted to be a year of hope” as the Rabbit symbolizes longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture.   We can utilize the power of this incredible new moon to set intentions for ourselves in moving forward, our family and tribe as well as our global community. The Year of the Rabbit officially begins on the 22nd of January.

I am one who chooses to distance myself from conversations and narratives that promote hate, nastiness, negativity, and fear and instead focus on being in the energy of positivity and joy.  Our energy is all better served holding a vision of unity, kindness, acceptance, and love. We need to become the observers and witness to our own inner disturbances but not transfer them on to others.  I would highly recommend that you take this day to avoid the news and being around others who spread gossip or choose to focus on what is not working.  Be aware of your own inner dialogue.  The energy of this day is far too precious to focus on what is working in a state of gratitude.  Gratitude is modern day alchemy to assist one in manifesting the new reality we wish to create.

As the energy is so very potent, I am sharing this month’s new moon ritual with our entire tribe and make a humble request that create a space in your day or evening to unite with others in quiet meditation.

Print an image of our earth and place it on an altar.  Create a circle of rose petals, white, pink and red.  (If roses are not available use any flower that is native to your area). Add a white candle to symbolize your commitment to being a faith keeper and holding the vision of a kinder, gentler world.  Add items to your altar that represent the elements:

Air – incense or a feather

Fire – candle

Water – a bowl of water and a shell

Earth – a crystal or stone being

Take the time to make a gratitude list for all that you are grateful for.  Light the candle. Sit and reflect.  Feel into the changes you are making and the vision of the new reality you wish to create.  Let this entire day be a day of seeing the world through the lens of the heart with a grateful smile.

This is significant for aha moments and sudden inspiration.   Hold the bowl of water over your heart center and envision the reality you wish to create.  Pour the water as offering to the earth and ask the land spirits and earth guardians to support you in manifesting your dreams and visions.  Stand beneath the dark moon and receive the healing energy of the celestial bodies known as neutrino energy.

Do a prayer for yourself, your family, and our global community.  This energy can also feel electric and restless, so if you find your mind or thoughts become overwhelming, grounding and putting your feet on the Earth can help bring you out of your head and back into your body.   We have all been going through deep shifts as we birth ourselves into our identity.  It’s time to live life by loving what we do instead of doing what is expected of us by others.  You are encouraged to cleanse your body, mind, heart, and soul. Embody more of who you truly are. Remember if we are feeling fear, jealousy, greed, and separation then we are living life from the ego.  This will only keep us earthbound. We keep repeating the same karmic lessons each lifetime. Until we learn forgiveness, humility, and compassion, we will not transcend fully transcend our karma.   With a new moon in Virgo, we desire to reach our highest level of purity and perfection. We need to remember that our perfection lies within our imperfection and our ongoing life lessons. New Moons are a blank page on which to speak your dreams out loud as they symbolize creation, manifestation, birth, and rebirth. The new moon phase is an optimal time for planting and seeding your intentions. Seedlings need a period of gestation before they break through the soil and reach for the sunlight.

Blessings on this new moon.  For those who are members of our online subscription series I have posted a special ritual to celebrate the Chinese New Year as we welcome the year of the Black, Feminine, Water Rabbit.  Click Here
