Join me for the sacred Celebration of Mabon
A call to gather Our Tribe
For the turning of the wheel and the Autumn Equinox
On Mount Shasta
Thursday, September 21st beginning at 5:30pm
Through Sunday, September 24th ending at noon.
The Ancient Ones are calling on humankind to go to the sacred waters for ceremony and prayer. Aroha atu, aroha mai is a Maori proverb which speaks that if one lives in a state of aroha, sharing, loving, and giving, this will be returned many times. This is a call to join with others from the Rainbow Tribe to honor the old ways at the turning of the wheel on the sacred mountain, the root chakra of Mother Earth.
There is a story I wish to share that is dear to my heart as it weaves a golden thread from Mama Mountain to the sacred Rakaia river in New Zealand, my heart home. As a keeper of the old lore, New Zealand is the spiritual center of Lemuria. The traditional guardians of Mount Shasta, The Winnemem Wintu are water people and they believe that the holy spring on the mountain is the source of life. They tell of the creation of the trees, the animals, birds, insects, fish and how they were created. Each of these creations knew what their purpose was for the time they were present on Grandmother Earth. They knew their role was to hold the balance of our beloved Sacred Blue. When hoomanity was created this was not the case. Hoomans were confused as to what their purpose was. They had no purpose, and they had no voice. After much deliberation among the animals, winged ones, fish, trees, and all creatures great and small, the Nur known as salmon made the decision to give their voice to hoomans. Thus began the sacred relationship, a dance of life, a dance of deep respect between the Nur and the Winneman Wintu Nation. This was the way, until the US government began to colonize the First Nation people. They were unable to maintain the relationship and use their voice to protect the Nur when the army corps of engineers built the Shasta dam cutting off the flow of the long person and the sacred birthing grounds of the salmon.
In 2006, there was a chance meeting at the United Nations between the Chief of the Winneman Wintu, Caleen Sisk- Franco and a New Zealand Human Rights representative also a woman. As a result of this meeting on a Full Moon in March 2010 in the valley of the braided rivers of the Rakaia and Wilberforce, a great gathering and ceremony of two nations took place. The purpose was to apologize to the Nur for not speaking up for them when the eggs were taken in the 1800’s. To let them know that they had never been forgotten. The Winneman Wintu had come to call them home through their ancient ceremonial dances and songs. Their stories tell that if the Salmon dies the oceans will die. The Maori have a similar story with Tuna and Eel. If the eels disappear the rivers will also. So epic was this event that when the Chief of the Winneman Wintu nation first came to the water’s edge, the tuna rose its head out of the water. Shortly after, Nur rose its head as well to acknowledge their arrival.
After numerous ceremonies and years of action taken by the guardians, the commitment to bring the salmon home, they were finally returned to the McCloud River, the long person that flows along the dragon line of Mount Shasta. It is here we will gather for sacred ceremony. We are being called to perform sacred ceremony at the river of the Salmon’s birth. It is our responsibility to stand together to honor and protect the living waters of our sacred blue. Together we can work with the Nommos to restore balance. Water is the lifeblood of grandmother earth.
Joining with our tribe in Uluru, Australia to answer the call, members of our tribe came together in sacred ceremony for the 777 to activate the whale song lines and water was collected from the dreaming water place of the rainbow serpent. I have also carried sacred waters blessed in this portal opening at the Rakaia river in New Zealand and the waters of Kaikoura, the great sanctuary of the Sperm Whale. As a water carrier, I will bring these waters back to Mama Mountain and the McCloud River for our tribe to bless as we gather at the time of the Equinox. Our intention is to journey to the river to honor them for their mana and life-giving energy, to bring our love and respect. To pray that as hooomans we do not continue a path of greed and disrespect for the natural world repeating the ways of Atlantis.
The time of the Equinox provides us with a time “Between the worlds” a window through which we can perform special magick as we honor the turning of the wheel and the unseen world. This is one of two days when the earth will experience equal portions of light and dark.
Native Americans believe that mountains once talked, but now no one listens. I invite you to join with me in natures schoolhouse to listen and learn the wisdom of this ancient one. To reclaim our personal magick we must be willing to experience every moment of life without fear. To embrace the moments of enchantment as we gather with our tribe. The Autumn equinox is one of the two nights where we hoomans are given a chance to find the enchantment on a deeper level and to remember the Code of the Dragon. Recognized by those who follow the earth religion, this is a special time to communicate with the unseen. This is a time to honor the changing of the seasons where we find our own intuition greatly heightened. Celebrating in a sacred place enhances the magick available as the wheel turns. September is one of my favorite times on Mama Mountain when the schoolhouse of the Goddess always reveals hidden secrets and places not available during other times of the year are accessible.
We begin Thursday evening the 21st of September with a gratitude ceremony connecting with the Goddess and Lady of the mountain as we enter the heart center of Mama Mountain in sacred ceremony for sunset. Plan to arrive for our sacred celebration by 5:30pm. Location and directions to be announced as we journey to the mountain.
It has been said that Dragons prefer to dwell in caves and caverns. I have found working with the dragons, that many prefer to also live near water, especially the sea and sacred rivers. We will experience both during our time together. There is a magickal place within the Shasta vortex where we will gather for sacred ceremony, known as the Shaman’s cave and home to the dragon.
We will travel to the water’s edge to listen to the long person and invite the spirit of the sacred water to cleanse, purify and nurture our spirit as we honor the salmon. Because of the process of hydrogen bonding, the strength of attraction among water molecules imparts unique and magickal properties that assist in manifesting our dreams into physical form. Together we will celebrate water creating a deep connection with the dreaming time.
The Shasta vortex is one of the most powerful places on our beloved earth where twelve dragon lines join and is known as the female counterpart to the Sedona Vortex. Known as the root chakra of the planet. It encompasses so much more than just the mountain herself. Saturday, we travel to the stargate portal of the dragon for a morning spirit walk through the forest of the fae. Nature has a deep connection with hooman beings as it affects our thoughts and assists us in connecting with the dreaming time.
The veil is thin throughout the weekend to play with the fae and invoke the spirit of the dragon. Hoomans of the fast world stopped listening to the sacred waters that carry our story, we stopped listening to the winds that taught us about the breath of life. This is a time to rediscover the ancient knowledge of those who follow the Path of the Rose as we walk between worlds gaining insight and vision for our personal sacred journey. Together we will perform sacred ritual. You will have time to immerse yourself fully into the world of nature for quiet reflection and vision as we also create a vessel of love to share.
Sunday, we complete our journey in the beautiful peace garden as we thread the sacred labyrinth with prayers and intentions receiving insight and clarity for our earth walk.
When a hooman with an open heart enters into places of magick, one is granted access for guidance and the unseen world comes to life. The mountain nurtures one’s spirit and rejuvenates one’s soul, restoring faith and balance. A special time when the veil is opened to reveal wisdom and knowledge for the spiritual seeker aligning with their higher truth.
By stepping through the doorway into the enchanted realm of the faery folk in a forest of light, the child within each of us is filled with joy and innocence, bringing a deep sense of inner peace and calm. Innocence is key to Mastery in this year that has been filled with uncertainty, confusion, and the shattering of our belief system. Joining together can provide support and strength, renewal of one’s spirit.
If the call of the Lady of the mountain and the sacred waters speak to your heart to weave you into the magick and lore of the Salmon, I invite you to journey to this magickal sanctuary to immerse yourself in her divine essence as you step into new levels of awareness and purpose.
During our time together I will be sharing:
- The secrets of the unseen world and the wisdom of the mountain. Gain an understanding of how deeply we are woven together and the importance of protecting our sacred waters.
- Remember the wisdom of the Waitaha, the water carriers of New Zealand who came from all corners of the world as messengers of peace. They were wayfarers navigating with the sea and song of the whales.
- Discover the power of sacred ritual at the time when the veil between worlds is thinnest. We will be sharing the ancient rituals of the Tuatha De Dannan, the last keepers of the dragon lore.
- Listen to the wisdom of the flowing water as we Invoke the presence of the long person for guidance to navigate your journey.
- Learn to trust your own inner voice as the vortex of the mountain is one of the special places on our beloved earth where one can slip through the crack of the universe to find truth and glimpses of the future.
- Nurture your mind, body and spirit as you develop a stronger bond with the Goddess.
- By actively participating in these natural cycles, we can attune ourselves to the creative forces that flow through us and learn how-to live-in harmony and balance with ourselves and with the beloved Earth. It is critical we reconnect to the mother.
We did not come to be weak or to fall asleep. We came to be challenged, tested, and pushed to be the warriors of truth that we are. We came to be love. We came to create a new reality as faith keepers. With each turning of the wheel we celebrate, we remember, and we heal the alliance of the past broken by hooomans as we follow the Code of the Dragon.
