The beginning of April completes the first quarter of 2022, the Year of self-love, self-care, and self-awareness. Even if there are times it feels as though you have lost your way, you are truly moving forward. We are all trying to navigate through this ever-changing world and being tested to level up to embrace the raw energy that is created when old beliefs are shattered, and we realize we have been in denial. When we fall more in love with ourselves, we open to a flow of energy that allows us to manifest and shift all aspects of our life. If you feel emotionally triggered, trust that this is confirmation from the universe that this is a pivotal moment of choice. So much to share with you this month, and again I have gratitude for the astrological insight Natasha brings adding more specifics as to the dance of the celestial bodies. Using this knowledge can facilitate positive change and movement forward.
Nature is a tapestry woven together of light, texture, smell, design, color, and wonder. It can be our greatest teacher to reset and rejuvenate us. Take this beautiful energy that came in with the turning of the wheel at the time of the Equinox and shape it in whatever way you are inspired as you co-create with the universe. The astrological influences of April 2022 are going to intensify after having several weeks with nothing retrograde. The first eclipse of the year, a once-in-a-lifetime planetary aspect, and a powerful Pluto retrograde will put an end to our recent non retrograding planetary influences. There is a lot to share for April, so grab a cup of coffee or tea, find a place where you will not be distracted and take a moment of pause to sit with the information.
March 31st/April 1, 2022 – Aries New Moon
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. A New Moon in Aries is especially powerful with an opportunity for new beginnings. As the first major lunation of the new astrological year, this new moon is charged with the magick of a powerful fresh start. A time to step away from our normal routine and create a little adventure. My suggestion, plan something to reconnect to the unseen world. Develop a quiet and reflective mind. When we do so, we become less reactive to the external triggers all around us. Our world has once again dramatically changed, and we will need to change as well. Instead of telling yourself “I can’t, ” go for it and just DO IT!! An Aries new moon stimulates a desire for true change. A desire to live a life that is full and rich without regrets. I love new moons as it provides an opportunity to reset our intentions. The power of an Aries new moon is opening each of us to new ways of being. Be mindful of your thoughts, words, and the choices you are making currently. Be sure they are aligned with what you really wish to attract. I have posted a new moon ritual to assist you in aligning with your soul purpose, gaining clarity and insight for the next part of your journey. CLICK HERE
The most significant lineups at the time of this new moon are Chiron, the Wounded Healer, aligning with the moon and Uranus, the planet of change, aligning with the asteroid Hekate, the Goddess of the Crossroads. In her myth, Hekate appears to those who have a choice to make. She stands, with her lit torch in hand, at the intersection of 3 paths; the one you are currently walking that has no road left to tread except back the way you came and the 2 paths leading in different directions, which represent 2 new options you can choose. Her energy aligning with Uranus on April 1st, otherwise known as April Fool’s Day, is significant. This is because Uranus is associated with the Fool’s card in the tarot deck. The Fool in the tarot represents beginning a new cycle, trusting oneself, taking chances, and leaping into the unknown with enthusiasm and joy. The combined energy of Hekate, Uranus, the Fool card, and the new moon in Aries signifies that it is time to embrace new beginnings with inspired and courageous action. Aries will no longer stand for old excuses the mind likes to tell about why something can’t happen or can’t be created. Hekate, Uranus, and Chiron will highlight that it is time to deeply trust our intuition and those seemingly out of the blue “aha” moments. These insights may be just the thing that brings deep healing around releasing self-doubt and helps us take the next step on our journeys. New moons are an excellent time to set intentions and as the new astrological year begins, I am scheduling Soul Life Readings to help one find greater clarity and direction in choosing the best path possible to manifest our dreams.
April 12, 2022 – Jupiter conjunct Neptune – A once in a lifetime conjunction
Jupiter, the planet of expansion and opportunity, will align with Neptune, the planet of intuition and dreams, in Pisces. Jupiter and Neptune align every 12 years. The last time these two planets aligned in Pisces was 165 years ago. This is considered a once in a lifetime conjunction. What makes this alignment even more significant is that these are two planets that rule the Pisces sign…Jupiter and Neptune. So, even though this alignment happens exact on one day, Pisces is being highlighted and amplified during the entire month of April due to the meet up of both of its ruling planets. Further, the lineup of these planets in Pisces is so powerful that some may already be experiencing vivid dreams, downloads, and divine connections/synchronicities. With that said, the energy of this alignment is transcendent, so if you feel at all ungrounded, scattered, or spacey, give yourself time to ground, find your center, and come back into your body. It is in this centered place within the body that we can truly discern and integrate all that Jupiter, Neptune, and Pisces are sharing with us during this rare alignment. I highly recommend that you find yourself in nature. Create time to sit in stillness in a sanctuary of trees, at the water’s edge, in the stone elders. A place to listen to your heart and commune with the divine mother on this special day to receive the gifts that are available. Balance is significant if we are to find footing during these times when nothing in the external world appears to make sense.
April 16th – Libra Full Moon.
This full moon will be aligning with Eris, the Goddess of Discord and Chaos. Libra is the sign of balance and harmony, and surprisingly has deep connections to Eris. Although Eris represents chaos, she doesn’t create it, she simply shows you the chaos that is already present. She is also the Truth Telling Goddess, and oftentimes, the truth she shares is difficult to hear and to face. It is in this difficulty that we tend to relegate these Eris truths to the fringes of our consciousness, which then creates more havoc in our lives. Eris’s ultimate gift is that once we gain the courage to see beyond the chaotic surface and dig deeper to truly see truth, we can find our center once again. This is because what rests at Eris’s core is stillness. The truth that Eris shares with us doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is and from this knowledge comes peace. It is these qualities that are at Eris’s foundation centeredness, stillness, and peace that are some of Libra’s brightest qualities. With that, this full moon can bring clarity to any part of our lives where lies and inauthenticity have been allowed to take up space, consciously and unconsciously. We can take that truth and transform ourselves into something grand. For me this is a full moon dedicated to the butterfly, the animal ally that undergoes a complete transformation. Native Americans see the butterfly as a symbol of change, the soul, creativity, freedom, joy, and color. Their power is transformation, shape shifting and soul evolution. They represent the element of air, quickly changing and always on the move gracefully. Butterflies are messengers of the moment and come in a wide array of colors. They remind us not to take things too seriously. They teach us that growth and transformation does not have to be a traumatic experience, it can be joyous. Butterflies possess the ability to grow and change, leaving the safety of their cocoon to discover a new world in a new form without fear, trusting their untested wings to fly without a doubt in their minds. The DNA of the caterpillar will completely change to a new DNA pattern when the butterfly emerges. For those who are members of our online subscription series I have posted a full moon ritual for this Full Moon of balance and will be posting a guided audio meditation to journey within the cocoon to emerge as the butterfly. April 29 – Pluto turns retrograde
When transformational Pluto begins its reverse cycle from now through October 8, expect to deep dive into some serious self-reflection and review the power dynamics in your life both personally and within the collective. All planets have been in their direct orbits since February 3rd. Pluto will be the first planet to usher us into retrograde season, which is fitting since this is a very Plutonian year. Pluto is the co-ruler of the transiting South Node, or what we are releasing to walk more solidly on our paths of destiny, and the USA is experiencing three exact Pluto returns this year. Purging, release, and excavation abound when the energy of Pluto is prominent. Retrogrades signal a time of turning our attention from outward expression to inward investigation. Pluto is the planet of transformation, evolution, alchemy, and power. When he goes retrograde, it is a perfect time to focus on what needs to be cleaned out of the shadows to make room for more of our light. At the exact time Pluto goes retrograde there will be a YOD, otherwise known as the finger of the Goddess, pointing straight at the South Node in Scorpio. For a YOD to be created, two planets are so precisely situated that that they highlight a third. That third planet or point is something the cosmos wants us to take note of because it is significant. The South Node in Scorpio reminds us to purge what we no longer need in our lives to make room for the new. One of the tightest aspects Pluto will be making when he goes retrograde is a sextile to Jupiter. A sextile is a harmonious aspect in astrology and represents an opportunity for growth and evolution. Pluto and Jupiter together represent no longer playing small and standing fully and unapologetically in our power. In other words, this Pluto retrograde asks how can we bravely expand past our own limitations and bring our biggest dreams into form?
April 30th – New Moon partial solar eclipse in Taurus.
This will be a powerful new moon because Venus and Jupiter will make a significant alignment during the first eclipse of the year. The tightest aspect that will take place at the time of the eclipse is Venus and Jupiter aligning in Pisces. Pisces represents dreams, other dimensions, intuition, and psychic abilities. These two planets meet about every 1.5 years. However, they only meet in Pisces every 12 years, and they are meeting in this sign only 45 minutes after the eclipse takes place. This means that their alignment is a signature of this eclipse. Venus represents abundance and resources, Jupiter represents opportunity and expansion, and in Pisces, Venus and Jupiter’s energy is strengthened and amplified. This is an incredibly blessed alignment. With that said, be aware of your thoughts at this time, as Jupiter and Venus will expand in any direction your thinking leads you, so be sure it’s in a direction you’d like to go.
Be sure to pay attention to any dreams, inspiration, or downloads that come up for you the week before, the week of, and the week after the eclipse as they may bring up themes for you to explore during this entire lunation cycle. Eclipses initiate change. They signify turning points and create moments of rapid transformation. This eclipse takes place in Taurus, which represents honoring our own internal rhythm, slowing down to give ourselves time to catch our breath, enjoying life, and knowing our self-worth. Especially powerful in this year of self-love, self-care and self-awareness. An excellent time to schedule a massage, sound bathing or other types of nurturing services. Since a solar eclipse is when the moon (unconsciousness) passes in front of the sun (consciousness), this eclipse may bring things up from the shadow that illustrate how we are not fully embracing what Taurus represents. This eclipse brings these things to the surface to get clear on what needs to change to manifest our dreams.
April 30th – Samhain celebration in the Southern Hemisphere
One of two nights of the year when the veil between worlds is thinnest allowing for visits from the spirits of our departed ones. It also represented the final harvest, when the crops were safely stored for the coming Winter making it a time to complete any unfinished business of the summer. It is one of the 8 days of power within the year and the most magickal of times revered by the ancient ones. This is a time of beginnings and endings. One will find their own intuition greatly heightened. A night to do away with old negative patterns and beliefs as we make room for new life. It is a night to pray for a time of new beginnings and healing. We can envision the path we have recently traveled and become clear on the direction we are going. On this night one can gain strength during times of conflict. A ritual to celebrate Samhain has been posted for our members. Click Here
