As we prepare for the lovely planet Venus to go direct on the 16th we have an opportunity to pause and really reflect on our relationship to this journey we each call life. If we make up our minds that this life is only struggle and without purpose, it will only be that. If we believe that our earth walk is truly a gift and that the sun and moon hang in the sky for our delight, the plant beings are here to heal us and there is so much we can experience from one another, then we will see all the unlimited possibilities that await us. If we choose to see what makes each of us unique and special in the beautiful tapestry woven by the Goddess, there will be joy and laughter. The artist that lives in our soul will awaken to grandness and we will realize that we were each born magnificent beings with a higher destiny than we have even dared to dream.
These are challenging days we are witnessing and if we watch the news for long periods of time we can be woven into the web of chaos. I choose to be woven into the web of the Goddess and all that the natural world holds for the human who accesses the hidden magnificence that lies within the unseen world.
Ritual and ceremony provide the opportunity to assist the human in finding their balance. It will become necessary to find breathing time, as the energies grow ever stronger during this time of significant change and growth on our planet. I often hear that one is to be busy to honor the seasons changing, the cycles of the moon or the movement of the planets. We seem to create the time to become entangled in the drama which pulls us deeper into the chaos of a world that is breaking down but fail to take the time to honor the earth mother that supports us or the moon that illuminates our path. These are gifts given to the human to nurture our weary bodies and fragmented souls.
Ritual is the foundation of my truth as it supports me when my world tends to spin upside down. I welcome the movement of the planets as it provides grand opportunities for me to grow. Sometimes kicking and screaming, with frustration. Sometimes through painful moments that I am not sure I can move through. Always in those moments the Goddess speaks and reminds me…”Nothing truly stops you. Nothing truly holds you back”. It is our beliefs that have the power to create and the power to destroy.
A simple ritual is to begin the day with gratitude in your heart, see the morning as an opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Let the first hour of your day set the theme of the day. You were not born to fail so don’t waste the day. Write down ten things you are grateful for. If you have to wake up 15 minutes early to do this, you will find it is the greatest 15 minutes you can give yourself for the positive energy you create will echo throughout the day.
For those of you who are members of our online subscription moon cycle and sacred sabbat ritual series I have posted an extra ritual this month to celebrate the learning and gifts of this powerful Venus Retrograde we have been moving through.
